If anyone can honestly say their job is “beach,” it’s a Victoria’s Secret model. And we’re willing to bet Lais Ribeiro has received Employee of the Month more than a few times. Perhaps best known for her work as one of VS’s wing-clad Angels, the Brazilian super has been photographed on beaches around the world for magazines including Elle and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. So it’s safe to say she knows a thing or two about warm-weather beauty.
As such, we had to ask Ribeiro to share her Brazilian beauty favorites for spring and summer. Read on for her picks.
Nativa Spa Quinoa Firming Body Oil
Nativa SPA Quinoa Firming Body Oil $26.00
“I love using Nativa Spa products. It is a sustainable brand rooted in Brazil. [The] Quinoa Firming Body Oil is my favorite product from their line. Quinoa is a super ingredient, loaded with omegas and nutrients that brighten and tighten your skin. I like to pair this oil with dry brushing and lymphatic massage. Lymphatic drainage has been a part of Brazilian body care for so long and is a treatment most Brazilians do regularly.”
Granado Imperial Eau De Perfum
Granado Imperial Eau de Parfum $135.00
“The perfumes from the Brazilian brand Granado remind me so much of my hometown. My favorite is Imperial, which has a floral citrus musk scent. It smells very fresh and light with notes of bergamot, mandarin orange, and magnolia. It’s hard to find a perfume that lasts for multiple hours, and this one is very long-lasting and can really hold on all day and night.”
Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Cream
Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream $48.00
“I love putting on Bum Bum Cream after I get out of the shower. It has such an uplifting and happy scent—it reminds me of summertime and the beach every time I wear it. Sol De Janeiro does so well at always capturing the spirits and scents of the country in a way that few other brands can.”
Native Spa Gua Sha Stone
Native Spa Gua Sha Stone $25.00
“The gua sha stone from Nativa Spa is another product I’ve enjoyed. I always pair my gua sha with one of their oils. It’s my favorite thing to do in the mornings when I wake up or before bed. I’ve noticed a huge difference in my face after I do it. It helps depuff, tone, and lift your skin. It’s also important to invest in a quality stone; You see better results.”
Costa Brazil Sol Sunlight Body Oil
Costa Brazil Sol Sunlight Body Oil $98.00
“This oil from Costa Brazil is so lush, lightweight, and melts right into my skin without that greasy feel that other oils leave behind. Each time I use it, it feels like I spent the entire day under the sun. I also love this brand because all ingredients are sustainably sourced from the Amazon rainforest, which is very important to me.”
Skala Expert Oleo De Coco Hair Treatment
Skala Expert Oleo De Coco $8.00
“I love coconut oil. I grew up watching my mom use it for everything from cooking to on her skin and hair. We all know that temperatures can get extremely hot in Brazil, which can make our hair impossible to tame. Skala has multiple products that treat all different types of hair needs. I always use this treatment whenever I am back home visiting my family. It leaves my hair super shiny and frizz-free. I even use it on my face as a moisturizer.”
Bruna Tavares Marble Gloss
Bruna Tavares Marble Gloss in Precious Rose Gold $43.00
“Bruna Tavares is always a go-to if I have forgotten something while visiting home. Brazilian women are very natural and don’t wear too much makeup, especially when it gets hot. We all accept the summer glow and carry blotting papers. When I need a touch of color, I like to use this gloss to add a natural and shimmery look.”
