Rihanna’s Silver French Manicure Will Be Your Summer Staple

Although we didn’t see Rihanna at the Met Gala this year, the singer still takes every opportunity to serve up a look, especially when it comes to her street style. The “Anti” singer is the opposite of an outfit repeater—no two looks are ever the same. However, when it comes to her nails, she sticks to a go-to formula that we’ll be copying all summer long.

On May 11, the singer was spotted leaving a private party in New York City in a head-to-toe silver outfit and back to her blonde hair. And while we couldn’t keep our eyes off her vintage Gucci by Tom Ford fur coat, our attention went straight to her nails. If Rihanna loves anything, it’s making great lip gloss and wearing a cool French manicure—this time, she opted for a silver-chrome French mani that perfectly paired with her outfit.

She put her twist on the classic nail look by swapping out the traditional white tips for a layer of sparkly silver polish. The singer stuck with a classic barely-there light pink shade as the base that complimented the shimmery polish. But, instead of opting for her favorite square shape (IYKYK), she stuck to almond, adding an elevated, sophisticated feel to her night-out nails.

Rihanna loves a French manicure. Early in April, the “Work” singer donned a trendy two-toned purple French manicure for a night out, and for the launch of Fenty’s new Soft’lit foundation, she put a spin on the classic nails with a layer of shimmery chrome powder for a chrome French mani.

The rest of her look was just as major as her nails. Underneath her chic Tom Ford for Gucci coat was a matching satin tube top in the same shade which she paired with greyish-silver jeans from The Attico and bejeweled ballet flats for a monochromatic outfit. While vintage sunglasses covered most of her face, she tied the look together with a nude glossy lip and styled her blonde hair in a sassy side part.

While we’re still daydreaming about what RiRi’s Met ball nails could’ve been, we’d wager at this rate they’d probably be a French manicure of sorts. If you need to know anything about Rihanna’s glam checklist as of late, she’s sticking with her go-tos. A chic side part? Check. A French manicure? Double-check.
